  • AO -

The VSF was planted at Augusta Circle Elementary, and 10 faithful were present to discuss our plan for the morning, and make jokes about the (alleged) exclusivity of the Augusta Rd area.

The Conditions: Cool and cloudy, around 50 with plenty of gloom to go around.

The Thang: Run around the neighborhood in No Man Left Behind style.  Fast pax double back to the 6, tag the 6, then we all get to the pre-arranged destinations together.

Leave the school parking lot, head to Waccamaw/Meyers intersection.  Plankorama.  Keep it down Houdini, this is a neighborhood.  7 merkins.

Continue on Meyers to Meyers/Rockwood intersection.  Plankorama.  6 merkins.

Towards Augusta, right on Augusta, plank and wait at Augusta/Rice.

Down Rice, right on Meyers, rendezvous back at Meyers/Rockwood intersection.  YHC makes Winnie the Pooh joke.  No one laughs.  LIBOR gave me a courtesy chuckle (barely).  Plankorama.

Down Rockwood, left on Forest, go to Forest/Sunset intersection. Plankorama, 4 merkins, 3 merkins.

Left on Sunset, bear right on Tomassee, stop at Tomassee/Winyah intersection.  Plankorama, 2 merkins.

Hot lap up to Augusta and back.  In total, we ran at least 3.72 miles.

4MOM led by Soup:

10 diamond-merkins OYO (YHC: “Soup, you know what Mary means right?”)

Flutter x30

LBC x30

Ye Olde Moleskine:

That was fun.  It was nice to introduce #TheOutsiders to our fine neighborhood.  Stay gold, Soup, Houdini and Grim Reaper.

YHC was thoroughly impressed with everyone’s toughness, but the speed was shown by Houdini, Grim Reaper, Latke and Stewie.

T-claps to Satisfry, Stewie, Latke and Lotion who have really taken this AO under their wings and ensured its success.  Glad to be a part of it with yall.

Welcome back to the gloom 1040.  Next year we’ll start an earlier AO during tax season…

Okay so I know everyone is dying to know what the joke is…so as we came back to the Meyers/Rockwood intersection for the 2nd time, we were coming from a different direction, and YHC quipped “I see some footprints up there, someone must be following us…”  That’s from a Winnie the Pooh book where he and Piglet see their own footprints in the snow and track them around some hedges for hours.  Good times.

#Jackalope – help is needed w/ #2ndF and other volunteers (driving a sagwagon to pick up hurt/cramped pax)

EH EH EH EH EH…   This is PERFECT weather to get guys out into the gloom.  If you know or have ever known anyone in Birmingham, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Asheville, Greenwood, or anywhere F3 already exists, they should know about F3…

See yall next week.  As Houdini says, shake a leg.
