Little did I know that when I volunteered the night before to Q, I would have to change up my plan due to the monsoon that hovered over Powdersville. (When you haven’t seen rain in over a month, the smallest amount of rain looks like a monsoon). I arrived at #powderkeg at 5:20 expecting to see Seal standing in the rain in his skin tight body suit yelling at everyone to “get down and give me 20” but the parking lot was empty. At 5:25 the PAX started to arrive. 8 PAX total (no Seal) scampered to the picnic shelter for a modified Q by yours truly. This is what went down:
Warmup:
- SSH IC x 30
- Windmill IC x 10
- Imperial Walker IC x 10
- Monkey Humpers IC x 10
Workout:
7’s with pull-ups and dips. (way too much mumble chatter about running in the rain)
Mosey around the church (be careful what you ask for…)
End up at the block pile to grab a block
Back to the shelter
7’s with block curls and overhead tricep extensions
Time for an intermediate MARY
4 sets of various ab exercises
11’s with squats and Lunges (each set done on opposite sides of the shelter)
The final MARY
4 sets of various ab exercises
Take blocks back to the pile
Mosey back to the flag
Just enough time for 5 burpees
