14 men gathered in the gloom on a perfect Thursday morning to party like its my birthday. This was the largest crowd I’ve Q’d for. No time for nerves – let’s just do this.
We have stuff to do, no time to cuddle.
Mosey all the way down to the bottom of Furman Hall Way by the traffic circle pointing out where stations are. 4, 3 & 2 are.
This is the Q I brought to Matinee on my birthday – seemed like a perfect workout to bring to the studs at Main Thing.
AMRAP for 30 minutes:
Station 1 (Bottom of the traffic circle): 6 Burpees
Station 2 (1st driveway on the school side of the road): 8 Superman Merkins
Station 3 (gnarly tree by the stone bridge): 7 4ct. American Hammers
Station 4 (top of the hill – tap the gate): 4 8ct. Body Builders (facing downhill).
On the way back down the hill stop at all stations to do prescribed exercises.
Thank you to the guys at the front of the pack that drove the pace. I’ve run this twice and got 3 full laps in – this time was 3.5.
Swept PAX along the way as time was running down to meet at the stone bridge where we lined up for an Indian Run back to the Peace Center.

Saturday, July 30th – Breakfast at Gideon’s workout. Putting in pullup bars (Bondo Bars) going up in honor of Bondo who is graduating on August 2nd. Any who can attend are encouraged to so that those at Gideon’s House can see there’s a group of men that at are there for them.
Debit’s mother diagnosed with cancer. It was caught early and she’s had surgery – waiting on results.
YHC’s brother, Kevin, had surgery a few weeks back to remove cancer on his liver. There was also cancer on his pancreas and large intestine that they did not want to touch, so strong chemo is coming in the next few weeks for him. Please keep him and my family in your prayers.
M is in school and I’m on 2.0 duty in the mornings but I will redouble efforts to join in on workouts at Main Thing as much as possible.
