The word was out that most of the #PitchFork pax were going to be running or doing events this weekend, so a Q would be needed for Saturday. YHC didn’t want this AO to be Q-less, so I picked it up on Tuesday, not know that on Wednesday, Walker Phillips would be meeting Jesus face to face. This really hit home as the Weinke was coming together, and as YHC arrived early on Saturday to set up. Weinke tossed, and today will be all about honoring a family whose faith has been an inspiration for YHC since reading about all they have gone through, and the way that God has shown throughout that life and family. Our prayers still surround you Andy, Karie, and Wes as you adjust to Walker no longer physically being here, but waiting in eternity for us.
3 Pax arrived, instructions as follows since no FNG’s, and this just came together.
Walker Phillips, age 5, showed his strength through a 2 year struggle with constant seizures, so 2 laps around the parking lot to warm up.
At 5:10 PM on Wednesday, Jesus said enough, and Walker left this earth for the best part of his life – eternity with the Creater of All. To remember this home going, here is what we did:
- 20 SSH IC
- 16 Merkins IC
- 5 sets of Imperial Walkers x 10 IC – lap around the parking lot between each set.
- 5 sets of LBCs x 10 IC, mixed with:
- 5 sets of Merkins x 10 IC
- 5 sets of Squats x 10 IC – backwards run 50 yds between each set
- 5 Minutes of Mary – Flutters, Dollies, LBCs, Box Cutters, American Hammers – all x 10 IC
It was a little early, Pine Tar and YHC had a soccer tournament that our 2.0s were participating in, but YHC needed a little time for some #2ndF, and an opportunity to share some of the faithfulness that God has put into our lives with the brotherhood, so we moved from #PitchFork to #Coffeeteria to continue the celebration.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
@NailPop, we will always remember Walker, and may our faith grow from knowing you and your family.
