The Dirtalope: A Much Different Experience

The plan was to make it more accessible. Not easier, per se, but logistically more flexible so PAX who either didn’t have enough time or didn’t want to cover all of the mileage could still participate. The plan was to get some people on trails so they could experience that as well. The plan was for a fun, goofy, event where we got 50-60 men from our whole region together, focus on fellowship and get some work done in the process.

That was the plan. A confluence of conditions, timing, and math made this a very different experience than last year’s Jackalope, and vastly different than what I envisioned as its sequel.

18 participated and 11 finished the Dirtalope. It was hard. If you want to know more about it, seek out one of those guys listed above and let them tell you their experience.
