The Building Blocks of Tabata

4 PAX came out to Eye of the Tyger eager to start their week off right. Fire Marshall Bill had some cinder blocks in tow, so YHC decided to make good use of them. Here is the rundown.

Warm Up:
20 SSH IC
20 Freddy Mercury’s IC
Leg Stretches
Arm Stretches

Main Thang:
Each PAX grab a cinder block, time for some…

Building Block Tabata.
Tabata is a 4 minute work out broken into 8 sections. Each section is20 seconds intensity, 10 seconds of rest.

Round 1
Block Arm Curls
Block Triceps Pushes
Derkins (decline merkins)
Burpees
x2

Run for 2 minutes w/ blocks on shoulder.

Round 2
Block Overhead press
Block Chest Press
Block Russian Twist
Burpees
x2

Run 1/4 Mile.

Round 3
Block Squats
Block Curls
Block Tricep Pushes
Burpees
x2

Return blocks to start, then run another 1/4 mile loop.

Time for Mary.
