Stamina Quarters

2 Men had sufficiently recovered from the Spinx, and 2 more decided to show up. YHC is attempting to get better at posting timely backblasts. All around it was a day of improvement.

Warmup: 1 mile – 8:30 or so. Lots of conversation about the Spinx. It is over. The Drifter is coming up.

Thang: Stamina Quarters – Run 400m (or probably about 450 on our lovely track which has the first 3 lanes blocked by various objects) at 30 minute race pace. Recover for 100m, then go directly into another 400. Continue until time is called. 12-14 400s were run.

Cooldown: 2 laps plus stretching. Some fun at Kotter’s expense. No jokes about bleeding nipples.

Moleskin: I did not call these stamina quarters at the workout, as I did not want to discuss any stamina jokes. However, these did take some effort. Fortunately each 400 lasted 2 minutes or less.

Kotter is still older than me, although not by a lot. He is fast for a slightly older guy though. He also chose to run a December marathon, which no one else is training for. Those long runs will be lonely. Hootie could probably run with him, if Hootie is precisely clear on the route and someone holds his hand to make sure he doesn’t get lost.

Dirty Myrtle is comforted by the fact that VaTech will probably recruit a top notch, second or third tier SEC coach. Bielema sounds a lot like Beamer. #phonics

Wilson literally runs to BeastSide, runs, and then runs home. It requires less effort than getting into a car and turning it on. #Beast
