This workout was slated for last Monday (9-11-2017) as a tribute to the 9-11 First Responders who fearlessly ascended the stairs of the WTC 16 years ago. Hurricane Irma had other plans so we paid our respects today.  Its only 82 degrees, but felt hotter than a $2 pistol.  Let’s Roll!

Start at the bottom of Falls Park
+ 20 Merkins
+ 20 Big Boy Sit Ups
+ 20 Squats
Ascend the 40 garden stairs and get your burpee on
+ 5 Burpees
Mosey down the stairs
+ 19 Merkins
+ 19 Big Boy Sit Ups
+ 19 Squats
Backpedal up the grassy knoll then jog down
+ 18 Merkins
+ 18 Big Boy Sit Ups
+ 18 Squats…up the stairs for 5 burpess.

Repeat this process by reducing the Merkins/sit-ups/squat reps by 1 each time down.  Time was our enemy…or maybe our savior as we could only finish up the 7 reps.  The remaining 6 rounds is your homework assignment.

We covered nearly a mile
280 stairs (approximately 22 flights of stairs)
35 Burpees
189 Push Ups
189 Sit Ups (and a strawberry tattoo betwixed my cheeks)
189 Squats

30 SEPT – Susan B Koman Race for the Cure – Flour Field – Register under team “Hakuna MaTa Tas” in honor of Uncle Remus’ step mom who fought breast cancer and won.

Our hard work attracted the attention of several curious senior citizens.  A few of which snapped some pics of us in action.  Not sure if they were mesmerized  by our impeccable form or our nicely formed pecs.  Runoff was almost taken out on a stretcher, Remus took us out in Prayer.  I’m smoked, but until next time, it was a pleasure gents.

F3 friendships are like peeing on yourself…everyone sees it, but only you get that warm feeling that it brings.
