Serendipity – The Oort Awakens… in Reverse

2 PAX braved the elements for a running beatdown in beautiful Downtown Greenville.

Driving to the AO YHC was turning over different workouts in my head and most would have involved tearing up the grass in various parts of Falls Park.  Just as YHC reached downtown it was decided what it would be.  Lo and behold, who’s the only other PAX present at the workout?  The one who came up with said workout to begin with, Mr. Seal himself!  Serendipity!

The Thang:

No time for warm up, let’s just get to it!

The Oort is a route from the Greenville Zoo (moment of silence for our fallen AO “Night Ops”) to Falls Park and back stopping at every bridge crossing for 10 burpees.  Let’s just run that in reverse!

First up the steps and across the Liberty Bridge – 10 burpees and back across – 10 burpees and now we’re off towards the zoo.  After all is said and done the route is 2.78 miles with a total of 120 burpees along the way.  Reverse is a tad suckier than forward since the return trip is mostly uphill.

We had 30 seconds of time left when we got back so high plank to finish out the day.

  1. Epee: Uncle Remus spotted one of your 2.0s down by the river. When asked where you were, “I don’t know?”. Kids. You missed a good one though. The uphill return trip was a #gasser. Great job UR.
