Righteousness Through Faith

Seven Pax made it happen today.  Resisting the urge to walk by and pretend they didn’t see the BOM congregating in the midst of the midday gloom of humidity, these seven men got to the business of God.  Once again it was a refreshing time of fellowship, prayer and discussion.

Romans 3:21 – 4:25

Some say it’s the most important paragraph ever written…  Romans 3:21-24

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his gracethrough the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Takeaways:

1. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile when it comes to the Kingdom of God – all have sinned and fall short…
2. God sacrificed His own Son Jesus as an atonement for the past and future sins of His people.  This had to be done because God is Just.
3. Righteousness is a gift from God, apart from the law.
4. As children of God we are declared righteous by God.  Our faith is a result of His gift.
