Woke up in the middle of the night to thunderstorms and feared the worst.  If I wasn’t the Q, no way I’d be hanging out in the gloom.  But I was.  So I did.  Modified my initial planned workout to one that would keep us mostly dry.  And the rain held off until about 6:45am, when thunderstorms rolled back through.   Perfectly timed break for the 10 PAX that decided to brave the elements.

THANG

Partner up and mosey to the back.  Each pair grabs a block.  Partner 1 exercises – AMRAP – while Partner 2 runs the bigger loop.  Move to the next exercise after each lap.

Man-makers

Curls

Derkins

Overhead Presses

That went faster than expected.  Therefore, rinse and repeat.

Mosey back to the front awning.  Same idea as in the back.  We’ll work legs now, though.   The lap is some sort of bus loop but not the full loop and then cut down the center half lap sort of thing.  Oh well.  It worked.

Calf raises

Lunges

Squats

Monkey Humpers

Still some time left, but not enough to start something new.  Therefore, rinse and repeat.

Mosey back to the flag.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

For those of you who are free this Saturday, there’s a half marathon that starts out in TR.  Road Trip put together a schedule for you.  Think you just have to taper tomorrow and you’re good to go.  Sounds fairly easy.

If running 13.1 miles isn’t your thing, there’s also a 5K.  Whisper and Peekaboo will be running together.  I believe that this will be Peekaboo’s first 5K, so no excuses.  Get out of the bed and go get some.

If neither of those options sound appealing, the P200 is about a month out.  Or you can start planning for an adventure race with NYOPT that involves swamps and snakes and kayaks.  He didn’t get a lot of takers on that one.
