Nine men participated in something ovalicious. In YHCs quest to continue to deliver new Q content, I came across a 200m workout done by Pre himself. Pre would run 200 in 30 seconds and follow it up with a slightly slower 200 at 40 seconds. He did this for many laps. We tweaked this per some article I found on the interwebs. We went slower and did less laps, which is generally true if you compare our group to Pre.

Warm-up mile

Alternating 200s – first 200 at mile race pace; second 200 – 33% percent slower. Repeato – AMRAP. When you are not able to keep up the pace, that part of the workout is over. Goal was 2-3 miles at this. Some made 3 miles, some did not. #crowdpleaser.

Once you fell off pace, you did 100m sprints with your friends. These varied in number as the PAX dropped off the first workbout. YHC did 4 or 5. When the Go-bots finished the first workbout, and did a couple of sprints, we did one last 400 sprint. #Ameliapleaser The last 400 was difficult. YHC was hallucinating at that point. Only the thought of Longbottom’s eventual return to BeastSide kept me going.

We did a brief cooldown and some Mary. There was some significant chatter on this afterward on Twitter. Workout must be a keeper. As always, an honor to get faster with you gentlemen.
