Yeah, it’s a mouthful, but Spongebob set himself up for annual ridicule ad infinitum on tha Twittah years ago. In any case, we’re back at Tommy’s Ham House this Christmas Eve. Here are the deets:

Hi Everyone!

It’s time again for The Christmas Eve Morning Run/Walk.     Please send this on to others who might be interested in participating.

Here are the details:

The Annual  Christmas Eve Morning Run is on Saturday, December 24.   We will be meeting at Tommy’s  Country Ham House located at 214 Rutherford Street, Greenville at 6AM for a very low key casual run……..and this will be low key.  If you need a hard fast run this will not be it, this is all about fun, fellowship and enjoying the Season.  If there are folks who would like to walk please encourage them to join in on the fun. We will be cruising through  our scenic downtown area, taking in the lights and sights.

We dress up in festive wear, so bring out those jingle bells, Santa hats, Christmas shirts or whatever else you might want to wear.  Lights are always a nice addition, and helps to keep us from getting run over!

The next important bit of information, breakfast will be at 7AM at Tommy’s.  We will be doing a buffet breakfast at a cost of $8.50/person which includes tax and tip and it’s all you can eat. If you can’t make it for the run, come join us for breakfast.  There will be several people taking this option.   Just an FYI, Tommy’s  is cash only, no credit cards.  We’d like to give Tommy a head count, so if you know you will be eating breakfast and can let me know that would be great!    But don’t let that keep anyone from joining the fun if you decide that morning to have breakfast .

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to bring canned goods, acrylic paint or canvases for Triune Mercy Center, which is next door to Tommy’s. So please bring some canned goods, or if that’s not convenient, donate a few $$$ toward food for the hungry.

PARKING!!!  We encourage you to park in the Triune Mercy Center parking lot which is on the corner of Stone and Rutherford, right beside Tommy’s.  We have permission to use their parking lot.  There is also parking across the street from Tommy’s at the Salvation Army and the lot next to it.  Let’s try to leave some room in Tommy’s lot for the other customers.

We hope everyone will come join in the fellowship and fun and give thanks for this wonderful and joyous Season!

Like the quote says, this is a chill run (unless you’re Hootie, who remains The Undefeated Scrooge That Races Every Year). Come dressed up in Christmas gear. Bring shovel flags. If you running’s not your thing, there’ll be ruckers at well, so no excuses.

Getcha some good 2nd and 3rd F and get your mind right for the Season.

See you there.
