Yeah, #WinterIsComing and all that jazz. We’ve seen some pretty explosive growth here in the Upstate, with 30ish workouts being offered every week. Think about that for a second. That’s a lot of dudes getting out there and getting better every week, and you have yourselves to thank for this expansion in our ranks.
What that means, though, is that we need more and more PAX to step in to lead in some way, shape or form. As the mercury drops, that continuity and accountability is key for all of us to get our there in the chilly months. Also an injection of new blood/ideas is always welcome around here.
Put simply: more Q’s = more fun for everybody.
I know we’ve got a ton of new guys, and the time has come to talk fundamentals, who we are and what we do. It’s also a time where we need to reach out to the PAX we haven’t seen before and put the EH on ’em again and get ’em out there. To that end, YHC is offering a Q School/F3 Fundamentals session. Here are the details:
What: Q School Class and Beatdown
Who: All F3 PAX, but especially those who haven’t led or feel they need a refresher on what we do
Where: The Tank Yard (Gower Park)
When: Thursday, 11/13 at 0530
How: Any way you can
Why: Basic fundamentals: the Mission of F3 isĀ “to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.”
In this session we’ll cover basic principals of all 3 Fs so that anybody who attends will have a solid understanding of who we are, what we do, and WHY.
This will be a class, but let YHC be clear: this will NOT be a lecture. We’re gonna talk principles but the most effective method I know is “learning by doing.” This will be a workout (you know, that whole 1st F Thang), if for no other reason that the weather’s getting cold and I’m not gonna stand around in the Gloom and jibber jabber to you weirdos. If you haven’t led before, you’ll be encouraged to take the Q for portions of the session so you can get a sense of what counting needs to look like, timing, etc. Even if you’ve led before, I promise a solid workout.
So, join me and the TankYardigans next Thursday. Bring a buddy. We’ll all learn something.
Aye.
