Not a Picnic

Rain log: Day ???, It is hard to tell time when it is perpetually gloomy outside. No sun or anything to show the passing of time. Just like the gloom we workout in.

Anyhow, lets get another workout in and attempt to stay dry. Hopefully we will not need canoes in the near future. Let’s try to remind the PAX of sunnier times with a picnic.

Warmup:

For the warmup, let’s start off with some SSH in a four count cadence in the rain to see if any one else is coming in hot.
That was a big negatory.
Like the Wicked Witch of the West, the rain was starting to melt us; so, we ran for cover to the picnic shelter.
Continuing the warmup, we did some Imperial Walkers in cadence, then moved on to some Through the Tunnel and Don Quixote’s in cadence.
Then a shoulder smoker: LBACS x10 – IC, Overhead Claps x20 – IC, LBACS in reverse x10 – IC, Seal Claps x20 – IC, Moroccan Night Clubs x 10 – IC, Chinooks x20 – IC

The Thang:

Since we were having a picnic, what better to utilize than the picnic benches for an almost 0.0
In true GF fashion, lots of step ups are going to be done. Hopefully no one gets dizzy easily.

Each set after the step ups consisted of 10 reps in cadence unless it was an OYO that isolated a leg, those were 10 per leg.

We will start with 30 Step Ups per leg facing the bench OYO.
Once we finished those, we did some cadenced Merkins, tempo squats, and cadenced LBCs.

Up next, lets do 25 Step Ups per leg but this time from the side OYO.
Upon completion, we did cadenced Dips, cadenced lunges, and flutter kicks.

Next, 20 Step Ups per leg, but facing away from the bench.
Upon completion, we did cadenced Incline Merkins, Bulgarian Ball Busters OYO, cadenced Hello Dolly’s.

Next, 15 Step Ups per leg, but from the side again.
Upon completion, cadenced Dips, side lunges OYO, cadenced Gas Pumps.

Next, 10 Step Ups per leg, facing the bench.
Follow it up with, cadenced Decline Merkins, Skaters OYO, cadenced butterfly kicks.

Finally, 5 Step Ups per leg, from the side.
Follow it by cadenced Merkins, tempo squats, cadenced Box Cutters (5 cutting down, 5 cutting up)

What goes down must go up. Right?
Start up with 10 Step ups per leg, facing away from the bench.
Follow it by cadenced dips, cadenced lunges, and 20 cadenced Big Boys (call ups PAX count)

Finish with 15 Step Ups per leg, from the side.
Follow it by cadenced merkins, tempo squats, and cadenced Freddy Mercuries.

Well crap, we still have 15 minutes, what can we do.
Let’s do 50 SSH, start off with 25 in slow cadence, followed by 25 in fast cadence.
Follow that up by 50 Imperial Walkers to the same tune.
Then one more round of the shoulder smoker: LBACS x10 – IC, Overhead Claps x20 – IC, LBACS in reverse x10 – IC, Seal Claps x20 – IC, Moroccan Night Clubs x 10 – IC, Chinooks x20 – IC

Warm down/stretching:

Feet together fold
Right foot over left foot fold
Left foot over right foot fold

Spread ’em and fold between the legs
Walk hands to the right foot
Walk them to the middle
Walk them to the left foot
Walk them back to the middle

Quad stretch

With that, our picnic was over. Definitely was not a picnic and no sun shone or happiness abounded.
