Minilope to the Green Mile

Conditions: 69 degrees and 93% humidity

5(ish?) guys arrived at #TheStation at 0500 sharp for a 2.5 mile warm up run and were then joined by an additional 10 guys for some #Jackalope simulation.

For those attending the Jackalope Saturday, I hope this helped you get an idea of what it will be like. For those not attending, you’ve had a taste. Now come and get the real deal Saturday.

The Minilope thang:

10 Minute pain station
Smurf Jacks x 15 IC
Merkins x 10 IC
Squats (SLOW) x 10 IC

Mosey to the shelter and partner up. One partner does 20 dips while the other does 10 derkins. Flapjack. Rinse & Repeat. Move over to the new mat at the playground. One partner does 30 LBCs while other does 10 pull ups. Flap jack. Rinse & Repeat. Plank for the last minute.

Mosey to our next pain station which happens to be about a mile down the road at Stevens Field for the Green mile part deux. Everyone was lined up on the outfield wall like they knew what was coming. This time we’re going to do partner exercises.

Round 1
Partner 1 does a wall sit for 1 minute.
Partner 2 does AMRAP merkins.

Round 2
PartnerĀ 1 does one minute wall sit.
Partner 2 does AMRAP burpees.

Final Round
Partner 1 does one minute balls to the wall (audible at 30 seconds and finish with plank).
Partner 2 does AMRAP flutter kicks

Mosey all the way around the ball field to “Ball Park St.”. Everybody stop. Line up about 7 guys across and get in plank. Line 1 sprints to the end of the road. Second line starts sprinting behind us after we reach a tree a ways down the road.

10 minutes is up, so time to head back to the station. We take the scenic route back and end up with about 2.5 miles total. Time left for 1 minute of Mary where we did a 6-inches + LBC thing.
