I'll do you one better

A few weeks back I was included on a list of potential guest Q’s for the tankyard. I was honored to have even made the list and jumped at the opportunity to come to the TANK! The Tankyard is the darkest place I’ve ever been in Greenville and a Tankyardigan sighting is somewhere between a Sasquatch sighting & an alien abduction in terms of rarity (and depending on the trailer park… errr neighborhood one lives in, it may not be rare at all). Anyway, 19 men came out to do work in the dark. Also, 19 is one more than 00 had at his guest Q a few weeks back and one more than the GRRR Boys had at the station, but who’s counting?

Warm Up
20 Burpees OYO

The False Start
Take off running in the dark and realize YHC is not going the appropriate direction. Circle up. 15 Burpees OYO

The Real Start
Run back the other direction and circle up again. Announce the GCOD 2500 to collective groans and confused faces. This turned out to be a litmus test for determining who had posted outside of the Tankyard before. We Partnered Up and did 500 reps cumulative of each of the following alternating exercising and running around the b-ball courts.
500 Plank Shoulder Touches
500 Squats
500 LBCs
500 Flutters
500 Plank Hip Slappers

Leisurely mosey/walk back to the Shovel Flag via the tennis courts (apparently this is one of those things you just have to know about the Tankyard)

MOM
15 Burpees OYO

This was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the camaraderie of the group. Having pretended to be Forrest Gump for the last 6 weeks, I can’t say how much I miss the group atmosphere and brotherhood. Thanks for having me out. It was great to meet a lot of new people and to see some familiar faces. I’ll be back.

Announcements
F3 Swamp Rabbit Golf Outing at Bonnie Bray in October. See the Preblast for details. This should be an awesome event and a ton of fun. The event is a charity fundraiser. Interestingly enough, the funds raised will go to benefit my family’s adoption fundraising efforts for travel costs. It was rather strange being there as this was announced, and I am beyond humbled that the group planning this affair thought our cause was a worthy recipient. We are truly grateful for this privilege. If you would like to read some more about our adoption process and story, check out our blog at www.brockmanadoption.wordpress.com. If I can be a resource to you or your family in anyway or if you have adoption related questions, I’m an open book and happy to talk.

F3 Foundation work: Stay tuned for a double dose of workout and mentorship opportunities coming soon. There are several brothers working hard to bring this to fruition, and I’m doing my best to smile and look good (if you saw me on the TV you know how good at this I am). I think this will be an awesome addition to the community but we will need your help to pull it off.

Have you been asking yourself: how can I get involved in F3 Swamp Rabbit leadership? If so, sign up to Q the Mud Run and get baptized by fire. It’s super easy and you get to drink beer, just ask Earthmover for details.
