13 men at the Station this morning.  Conditions were pretty much perfect, and one of the PAX was wearing a safety vest, which would come in handy in a minute.

The Thang

Slipped on my headlamp and led the PAX towards Poinsett.  The PAX probably thought we are going to Tank Street, but instead we turn down Highland and then onto Austin.  That’s right, it was the return of Blades’ half pipe workout.  At the bottom of the pipe the PAX learn we are doing 7’s.  So run up hill to Austin and do 6 merkins, back down the pipe and up the hill to E. Church and do 1 squat.  5 jump squats every time through the bottom of the pipe.   A surprising amount of cars passing through there, since it is not a through street, but we managed.

Time to mosey back to the shelter in the park.  10 bench presses, 10 dips, 10 double count step ups.  Rinse and repeat.  Then head to the gazebo for 5 pull ups and a lap around the pond.  Rinse and repeat.  I thought heading into Sunnyside would be the most dangerous part of the workout, but I was wrong.  Two ladies were walking a dog around the park as we ran, and the dog lunged at my leg.  The lady with the leash pulled it back just in time, but I felt its mouth graze my calf.  So I think we need to relocate before someone actually gets bit.  Time to head to the circle for Mary.
