Word of the Day:

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 5:3 – Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope

The Lord promises a future filled with hope. Sometime that hope is on the other side of suffering. God sent Israel into 70 years of exile in Babylon as a consequence of their sins when he gave them the promise in Jeremiah 29:11. Their hope was found in turning back to the Lord.

Where do we need to rejoice in suffering through our consequences of sin so we can attain the hope God has promised?
