- The PAX - Cockroach, Wally, Grrrr, Lizard Lick, Ms. Doubtfire, iTunes, NSA
- AO -
7 PAX showed up to #TheStation for their #downPAINment this morning. Conditions were beautiful: 55F, a mystical starry sky with sparse smoky clouds and all surfaces inundated from the night’s storms, truly a fitting scene for the #beatdown to come.
-Arm circles (last night was chest day)
-20 SSH IC
-10 merkins IC
-20 mountain climbers IC
YHC instructed the PAX to choose partners. This partner would become each of the PAX’s “best friend” during this Q. Yet again, however, YHC was not blessed with an even number of PAX, so he 3rd wheeled it with Cockroach and Wally.
Mosey to jungle gym for Dora
The PAX owed:
-50 burpee pull-up negatives (one burpee, jump to the top of a pull-up, slow negative down)
Partners not performing exercises completed a lap around the pond.
Mosey to hill behind amphitheater
For this segment of the Q, one partner held a superman pose while the other performed Joe Hendrix on the hill. Once at the top of the hill, the Joe Hendrixer called his partner’s name and assumed the superman pose at the top of the hill. The other partner then Joe Hendrixed up the hill while the partner at the top held superman. Once the 2nd partner reached the top, the first partner bear crawled down the hill, called his partner’s name and re-assumed the superman pose. The second partner then bear crawled down the hill for one set. The PAX then completed 2 more sets for a total of 3.
Mumblechatter was streaming during this portion of the Q. Lizard Lick asked “what kind of sick mind comes up with this?” YHC promptly reminded LL that he had, in fact, planted this little Joe Hendrix seed in his brain during the Q Tuesday. YHC admits that holding supermans between JHs and bear crawls really smoked the shoulders, but he figures the PAX had it coming.
Mosey to large field
The PAX lined up beside the first light pole. One partner held a plank while the other took 10 walking lunge steps. After 10 lunge steps, the PAX called their partner’s name and planked up until their partner lunged to them. This continued until the last light pole (roughly 100 yds)
As the PAX recovered from their plank at the end of the field, YHC noticed several eyeing the high and brooding clock in front of them. With 7 minutes left in the Q, I sensed the PAX were expecting a jailbreak to the circle for Mary. Nope.
The PAX then traveled back across the length of the field in the same manner as before, but with one partner doing flutter kicks while the other partner performed 5 burpee broad jumps. This really sucked.
Mosey back to circle for 2 minutes of Mary
-20 russian twists in cadence
-6 inches variations
-Prayers and praise for Andy Wade and family. Brain tumor is shrinking and he will hopefully be able to return to work soon!
