Main Thang
Mosey to Memorial to grab a couple of bricks and line up for an Indian Run to Davenport Park. Here we took one brick and did a squat, threw the brick, did a broad jump and lunge walked to where the brick landed. We went go home plate and back. Since my first throw was a demonstration, that meant I was far enough ahead to make a good target for the PAX. By the time I turned and headed back into the line of fire, I was wondering what I was thinking. When we finished, we did LBCs to recover before grabbing our bricks and heading back to the church.
At the church the PAX got to upgrade their bricks to a cinder block and lined up in the grass near the playground. We did 5 skull crushers and lunge walked to the first tree. Then we did 10 military presses and lunged to the next station for 15 werkins. The last station was 20 bench presses. Everyone was moving so fast, I gave out extra credit – 25 squats. Time to put the coupons away and head back to the Station. But we had to make a u turn when YHC realized his key had fallen out of his pocket. A lighter workout was promised for whoever found it.
Unfortunately for the PAX, YHC found it quickly and led everyone to the Station for Jacob’s Ladder. A train came at this point, but since we were already doing burpees, we pressed on. The trains would get us later, though.
Next we went to the shelter for some bench presses – 3 sets of 10 with flutters in between – and step ups. We still had 15 minutes to go. The lack of preparation and fatigue started coming into play, and things get a little hazy at this point. YHC remembers telling the PAX to inch worm across the circle before realizing that was a terrible idea half way through. So we audibled to your choice of animal walk. My spirit animal for this part of the workout was a duck. At some point we also partnered up and had 1 man do 25 LBCs while the other did pull-ups.
Next we ran around the circle until we heard a train – 10 burpees. Next we ran backwards around the circle. I think we did some squats in here somewhere before it was finally time for Mary.
Mary
Erectors x 20 (had to hold a couple when the PAX stopped counting)
Reverse crunches x 20
Rosalita x 20
Heels to Heaven x 20
I had the PAX call out exercises, and we flipped to plank position for 20 Billy Idols and 25 shoulder touches, OYO, before finishing with 20 Peter Parkers.
COT
Great to have Drivethru visiting from Isotope. Prayers for the brothers who are traveling, and for all those issues shared in the circle. Also prayers for those who were not there or could not be there.
I would also encourage everyone to look at the Q calendar and grab a day. If you have not Q’ed in a while, there is no time like the present.
