  • AO -

Last Saturday I was Q for #DawnPatrol, which is actually one of my favorite AO’s.  Its got great geography, its centrally located, its a good start to a Saturday morning, and there are usually pax from various spots around Greenville.  So last Friday, I checked the calendar: empty.  I’m in.  We did something similar to last week.

The Conditions: Really crappy.  Where did this cold front come from?  Had I not committed to pick up Costanza (F3 Cola) I might’ve sacked the Q.  Cloudy and 32 Fahrenheit.  The ground was cold.

The Thang: Warm-up with some leg stretches.

Mosey down Rocky Slope to the golf course.  Jump the fence, cross the terrain.  This week I was a little too gung ho, and I have the scratches to prove it by running through the briar patch.  There are 5 teeboxes on a steep incline.  Down to the bottom, where we started the escalator.

5 jump squats, 10 squats, 15 Russian twists, 20 baby arm circles, 25 lunges.

Back down, de-escalator.  Repeato on the way up.

In total that was 3x, so 75 jump squats 120 squats, 225 Russian twists, 60 baby arm circles and 75 lunges.

Mosey back up Rocky Slope, stopped to do some ring of fire with merkins, diamond merkins, werkins, squats.

Go down to the lake.  Floppy joins us!  Says he’s been “smoking himself” because he was a few minutes late.  Pax (okay..YHC only) inquire about what substance he’s been smoking.  He’s from Vermont, so its a legitimate question.

Okay so down to the lake, there are 6 of us, we play a game of how much do you love the pax?  Each individual calls out an exercise and takes a lap while the pax complete the exercise.  Each pax gets a turn.  The exercises were burpees, jump lunges, squats, box jumps, joe Hendrix, merkins, SSH burpees, dips, flutters, dollies, LBCs etc.  I don’t remember them all.

Head back to COT, we have a minute.

Freeze tag in the grass for 3 minutes.

Ye Olde Moleskine:

Really good to be with Costanza from F3 Columbia and Buzz Saw from F3 Lexington.  I have a dream that one day I’ll be able to post on your turf.

Costanza mentioned during the workout “You really didn’t have anything planned did you?”  The answer, No Costanza, I winged most of it.

KOTTERS Wingnut!  Glad you’re back and T-Claps on the baby!
