Scripture:  At day break Jesus went out to a solitary place.  The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them.  –Luke 4:42

The enemy is always looking for footholds in our lives.  For me, I am at my most vulnerable to his attacks when I am busy or distracted.  During busy seasons, it is easy for me to forget to get alone with my father and allow him to speak to me.  Jesus has provided us with so many practical examples in navigating daily life and this area is no exception.  In the passage above, Jesus models for us that before he carried out anything on his list for the day, he got alone with his father.  The people were looking for him the entire time and he knew this.  This tells me that we have to be intentional in carving out time to spend with our father.
