  • AO -

11 Men overcame the Monday morning Fartsack for some sweating to an oldie.  With the high humidity, warm temperatures, and no breeze, sweat was a guarantee.  Although not really necessary, the warm-up went something like this:

SSH x 20 IC

Frankensteins x 20 IC

Merkins x 10 IC

Air Presses x 10 IC

Windmills x 10 IC

YHC instructed each to selectively pick a partner who would push them this morning.  Be strategic in your selection, and the men did just that.  Before we begin,  YHC read a portion of yesterday’s sermon from Hebrews Chapter 12.  “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

BLIMPS – With a partner, each PAX would perform a circuit of 5 Burpess, 10 double count lunges, 15 Imperial Walkers, 20 merkins, 25 Plank jacks, and 30 squats progressively at each of the 4 corners of the track.  Each group was able to work up and back down to the beginning before we finished with 6 minutes of Mary. #rainpuddleorsweatpuddle

Several of the regulars were missing this morning.  Don’t let your body or your faith take a summer break.

Hebrews Chapter 12

Shed the sins your racing with as you stay focused on Jesus on this long, marathon of a race.  We’re all struggling with these sins, so work to identify your struggles.  God is a loving Father, but with this comes a Father who disciplines us.  If you’re seeing repeated trials in your life, listen to God’s discipline of you and connect the dots.  Stay focused on Jesus.  YHC intended to tie this back into working through life with those around us as we did this morning, but the exhaustion causes confusion and lunacy.
