9 PAX experienced a tough workout at the Tower of Terror this morning!

Warm Up:

SSH x 20 – IC

Merkins x 15 – IC

Plank Jacks x 15 – IC

The Thang:

YHC decided to bring a couple of coupons for an Indian Run this morning.  Person in front of the line would carry the 30 lb sandbag and the #2 in line would have a 30 lb kettlebell.  As the runner in the back would sprint to the front, coupons would be handed up.  The first part of the run was a mess with myself almost running into a telephone pole while looking back.  We pulled it together though and finished strong.

We ended the run at the parking lot by Simpsonville City Park.  Time for 4 corners!

Corner 1 – Burpee Station – 10 broad jump burpees OYO back and forth across parking spot line

Corner 2 – Flutter Station – 25 – 4 count IC

Corner 3 – Jump Squat Station – 15 – single count

Corner 4 – Merkin Station – regular merkins x 10, wide arm merkins x 10, diamond merkins x 10

Oh, and bear crawl between stations.  Rinse and repeat x 2

Mosey to amphitheater for box jumps and dips.  Box jump up the 5 steps to the top and turn around and do 10 dips per step.  We went through this twice.

Next, head to the small stage and get in decline merkin position with feet on the stage.  We went around in a walking plank type thing.  Brutal after doing all of those dips.  This was definitely a crowd favorite.

As we headed back to the parking lot to grab the sandbag and kettlebell, we noticed somebody jacked my kettlebell.  Real cool Simpsonville, real cool.  The thing was less than a week old and had been used twice!  Maybe Bambi will let me just use some sticks or something for the next Friday workout at Pitchfork.  Oh well.

Grab the sandbag and mosey back to the Tower.  Time is out unfortunately, so no Mary.

COT/BOM

– Multiple prayers for sick loved ones and families dealing with broken marriages.  Thanks to The Tickler for leading the prayer!

While Monday mornings are sometimes tough and it’s easy to fartsack, these men encourage me to get up and get moving.  It was an honor to lead today!
