YHC had big plans for the 36th birthday. Some four corners mixed in with some sprinting. However, YHC foolishly believed he would have access to the soccer field. As I rolled on to the site and realized that there would be no grass under my feet today, I immediately created a rando-block-o-rama.
Warm up: Smurfjack IC x 18. (really 36!)
Mountain climbers IC x 18 (still really 36)
Run down to the lower lot for a random amalgamation of merkins, werkins, and stagger-hand stackfoot. Golden actually accused me of making up the workout as I went. Run up for some burpee broad jumps up and back in the lot.
Lap around the church. Broke out the blocks. 36 low slow squats, 36 straight leg deadlifts.
Still trying to stick with the day’s motif, we tried a Dora based on multiples of 36 (36, 72, 108) – Merkins on the blocks, maybe some upright rows, and some squats. Can’t remember. I’m getting older. All I know is, someone complained about how short that was, so we did a regular Dora 1,2,3, with no blocks: Merkins, somethings, and some LBCs. I could probably remember if I had written the backblast timely, and not had to make up the entire workout as I went.
Jailbreak to the top of the lot for Mary. GS called an audible, and asked that we do 18 burpees for his son Charlie, turning 18 months old on 9/27, and who is in the healing process for scalded skin syndrome.
COT: Continue to pray for Charlie, and for Golden’s dad with a recurrence of cancer. Tydre’s recovery. EH people for the workouts.
