Independence Day convergence with Pitchfork and Tower of Terror

Q in Charge: Bowel Movement (that’s right)

The PAX: One Direction, UP, Nightingale, Joe Blow, Drumstick, Dexter, SweetTooth, No Show, Mario, Morning Wood, Handrail, Jelly-Filled, Cockpit, Turban, Aardvark, Red Rider, Whisper, Aorta, Church Lady, Tebow, Bowel Movement

AO: Tower of Terror

The PAX was a combination of ToT and Pitchfork HIMs. 19 men and two 2.0s found their way to the Tower of Terror for a 6:00am celebration of America’s 245 birthday. Weather was ideal for a little fitness, fellowship and faith.

Mission:  The mission of F3 is to plant, grow, and serve men’s small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.

Disclaimer: Q in charge was clearly not a professional and all were encouraged to modify as appropriate.

Warm up: SSH x 50 (states in our great union) tempo merkins x13 (stripes on Old Glory) thru the tunnel x 13 (original colonies).

Buy-in: 5 burpees followed by a set of 13s alternating step-ups and derkins. Clearly should’ve started with derkins as the decreasing reps to avoid face planting.

Mosey from Ice Cream Station to City Park (.5 mile).

Thang: 245 years of Independence

PAX paired off for 245 reps each of lunges, big boy sit-ups and merkins, with hill runs for timing. Morning Wood and Drumstick set the pace and all worked hard to put away as many reps as possible as Springsteen, Mellencamp and James Brown reminded us of how great it is to be living in America. A few reps were left in the parking lot as the Star Spangled Banner closed out the drill.

Mosey from City Park to the Flag (.5 mile).

Mary: we finished with some hello dolly’s as the PAX gathered back at the flag.

COT:

Announcements: Turban raised his hand to take the Q for this Wednesday, No Show will Q this Friday – both are sure to push the PAX to get better and stronger – come out to meet the challenge.

Prayers: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)…we prayed thanks for our great nation and the PAX each brought a person, family or group to the circle for our collective prayer.

Honored to have the opportunity to lead and look forward to following the next Q-in-Charge. You are called to lead.

SYITG,
