A.O. Tower of Terror

Although enticed by Lt Dangle’s eternal PR campaign to MWGA, it’s been quite some time since YHC ventured out to the Tower of Terror mid-week.  Unsure of the crowd to expect due to A) it being day after New Year’s and B) there are 12 certifiably insane PAX in the GS who will be shifting their focus to running in preparation for the P200 [intentional pause inserted here for all others to ask “Why?!!”].  Turnout was looking bleak at 5:25am with only 3 present, but when the actual Tower clock matched the back of the nation’s greatest T-shirt, we reached 11 PAX.  Time to get to work…..

Headed to church parking lot after each PAX grabbed a coupon.  Time for some 20’s & 19’s:

Enough time to start cycling through again, with slight modification.  Replaced the run portion with Lunge Walks since at 5:55am I remembered my #1 New Year’s Resolution: Run Less.

NM:

  • Not much audible mumble chatter this morning.  However, YHC was on the end of the line and probably could not have heard a 747 taking off over the sound of my own breathing.
  • From merely the sounds of exaltation, Lt Dangle discovered his hamstrings and gluteus maximus during the combo Lunge/Squat Walk.
  • Lt Dangle pronounced he will perform no specialized training in preparation for the P200 since he is A) already a fine physical specimen and B) he will have a break for several hours between run segments.  In totally unrelated news, the other members of the P200 team will later testify “There is no such thing as a Code Red.”
  • Just over 400 reps this morning, excluding walking lunge walks & squats.  Great work by all!
